After years of owning and operating a specialty running store, Fox Valley Running Co. in Appleton, WI, and fitting tens of thousands of pairs of running shoes, we learned first-hand that a quality running sock significantly enhances the fit of a quality running shoe. A great performance running sock will reduce blisters, calluses, and hot spots which will make your running much more comfortable and pleasurable. Also, your shoe will fit better as a premium running sock is designed to fit your foot and shoe in a way that will optimize how the foot sits in the shoe.Everyone at Sock Geek loves to run and personally wear test the vast majority of the socks on available on this site. Steve is partial to the Drymax Trail and Injinji Outdoor Series when hitting the trails, Oxysox for marathoning, as well as slips on Drymax, Asics, and Feetures! for his daily runs. Gina, is often seen running around town in Darn Tough, Wrightsock, and Brooks Nightlife socks when venturing out after dark.
